Had to wait 15-20 minutes for pick-up from airport. Also, car did not have a full tank of gas when delivered which makes it complicated to return with same level of gas. Beyond that, staff was incredibly friendly and professional. Would rent from them again.

It was very expensive.

When we arrived at the airport around noon, the shuttle appeared quickly right after we picked up our bags. We did not wait for long at the car pickup counter, the checkin process was standard, the only extra thing I had to show was the portion of my car insurance that expressly says Puerto Rico is a part of the covered territories, so we did not have to take additional insurance. The car we got was new and in good condition. In the morning of our flight back, we arrived at the car rental return with about 50 minutes left before departure due to a GPS error, the return was processed very quickly without any issue and the shuttle took us to the terminal immediately so we were on time check in bags and boarding the airplane. Overall it was a positive experience —especially after reading so many negative experiences on various of can rentals in PR. The rental counter did not sell us things we did not need; one thing I suggest renters to get is the enabling of the road toll system at a few dollars a day, as the main roads have electronic toll collections and often don’t give you other payment options.
