• Watch a play in the woods. William Tell, the play by Schiller, is performed in the open air in the Ruge Forest every summer. It is performed in German but you can work out what is happening, and the animals need no translation.
• Take the funicular railway from Interlaken Ost station up to see the view at Harderkuhm. On Fridays there is folk dancing, music and late trains laid on specially.
