Cheap Car Rentals in Israel

Using credit card insurance coverage created problems and the solutions were not well-communicated, causing a disruption during our visit.

Only thing was not able to call anyone on arrival for instruction where is the office. For the past server years that we rented, the office moved, but in the past a phone number was available. this time, the call ended with message: offices are closed. Please provide a clear direction upon confirmation where the office is.

We were very disappointed that having paid for the car has external damage, a dirty interior, and a driver's side tire constantly out of air. Very doubted using this company next time.

With the tank at 98% we were charged with 82 dollars, as "empty". We were said in this case we would be charged for each missing litter. Absolutely disappointed.

Had a bad experience with the Rental Car Got stuck the first day- Car would not go into Reverse or Drive & had to be pushed out of traffic Managed to get going after 1/2 hour -Called Hertz support who told me to call again if it happens again. 1 hr later the same issue when trying tp park & had to be pushed out of the road traffic. Called Hertz support again -after a long while if was given a different code and this appeared to solve the problem. A few days later I was parked in Haifa. The car started fine but as soon as I put in in gear it cut out I tried a few times without success & some people also tried to help. After leaving the car for about 1/2 hour we managed to start the car . A week later in Natanya, the same issue. Car started fine but cut out when put into gear. My wife went to call Hertz again but in the meantime after many tries I got the car started again. I would also like to mention that the warning on the dash kept showing car 2000 KM over due service.

The people were friendly but nsisted that I provide proof of insurance that covered Israel. Since I didn’t know about that I was required to pay for insurance from them.

Car condition terrible scratched and in bad shape. Returning the car was terrible as no one at the gate to open and when you call (3 times) they get shirty and keep saying a few more seconds finally arrived 15-20 mins later.’ Unfortunately it’s not allot better with other Israeli car rental companies. Maybe they need to train the staff what customer service should be like

It was a good car and good value for money. Drop off is not at the main terminal but there is a simple shuttle bus

I did not like anything, I reserved for 1400 , came to the office at 13 30 at 14 30 they told me that they do not have any car it could take even 4 hours and I committed to a meeting before that I did not received the service and even qeeq they want to charge me of not showing off, it's rediciulous.

Cost

Customer service at pickup and return was polite and efficient. Car was bigger than my category.

We received the car 3 hours too late. No compensation received

I rented a car from Thrifty but when I showed up at that counter, I was sent off to Hertz for some reason and that counter is in a totally different place. So had to go back and forth with suitcases. Same for the return, brought it back to Thrifty but was sent to a different place and had to carry suitcases. Staff is nice and friendly, car was good but logistics of pick up and drop off are horrible
