It was a worry free experience. Got the car and dropped it off with no worry. Just be aware of the time and day of the experience. I went on a slow week and there was just one person doing all so I had to wait a bit . I understand this..

The person I dealt with at the counter was friendly and helpful. It's Europcar's policies that are the problem.

I reserved a car months in advance at a good price. However, Europcar would not honour that price saying that CDW was compulsory. The first offer was $50 US per day which would have meant the total would be 4 times what I reserved. This input box isn't big enough to express my disgust.

Europcar's car was not ready in Oaxaca, Mexico. They promised a car, but it did not show up. They then found a car from another agency that wound up being more expensive, a huge hassle to get, and had issues. I will never trust Europcar again.

The real rate was 10 times what was quoted due to insurance. I've travelled to a lot of places and my credit card has always been accepted for insurance purposes. Made me not trust them.

Everything went well customer services was helpful, the car was good I do, being the first time I use their services.

One think I don't like is the time it's taking a lot of time to refound the co-pay /insurance that's charge on your credit card. Is that normal.

Car was clean and price was relatively inexpensive.

The car had a dying battery which we had to replace ourselves out on the road. They reimbursed us for the battery and cables (that we bought to try to jumpstart the old one), but they didn't reimburse our taxi and time costs. Also, insurance prices are very high and they all came upon signing papers.

Unfortunately, checked in early to receive a car! There were no cars to be had.... this was around 830am, told me she should receive one by 5pm in the evening! That did not work as were driving 5 hrs away to the beaches! Will not rent from this company again! Very disappointed....

Despite our many problems (see below), the staff were relatively friendly and helpful. (For example, the manager provided us with his personal cell number when we called to express our concern that the engine light had gone on and we were afraid of breaking down on a remote road somewhere.)

Our problems were many. Kayak linked us to carrentals.com which announced on their website that the rental price included the liability insurance required by the Mexican government. However, there was nothing mentioning this on the confirmation documents that we received and Economy Rentacar told us that we needed to buy our own policy @ $18 US per day. (They did lower it to about $16 per day after we complained.) They told us that the car we rented was a 2019 model but the registration said it was a 2015 and it looked and ran like it was even older. It had not been cleaned in a very long time and was filthy inside. It had dents, scratches and peeling paint on almost every square inch, really a piece of junk. We have rented cars all over the world and this was by far our worst experience. A bad mark for Kayak and car rentals.com as well, we felt ripped off from beginning to end.

The price that was quoted, was NOWHERE near what I paid. They offer you different coverage options, I picked the cheapest that still had coverage, and it was almost double the price quoted by Kayak. Even if I’d picked no coverage at all, it was still $100 more total.

This location rarely actually has vehicles and they're incredibly unhelpful. We were stuck (along with dozens of others) who showed up with reservations, only to be told that there are zero cars available and there wouldn't be any available for days. Oaxaca airport car rental companies are a scam.

The car was functional enough for the trip.

The pick up was a mess. I game to pick up the car and was told a total different price and I got it down to around $340 when they told me it was going to be around $1100. Also Kayak told me a way lower price. The people took about 45mins to get my car as well. Very unprofessional. Lastly I was asked to leave $1400 as a deposit and was surprised because I was never told anything about that. I’m still figuring out to this day if they even returned my money to my account. Lastly, when I came to drop off the car, no one was available and I was close to kissing my flight cause of nobody expecting my car to be dropped off at the time I said. Very dissatisfied with the service and how things turned out. I honestly was stressed.

Staff was very rude and does not care about anything but money, I am a member of the U.S. armed forces and I was born in Oaxaca and this place does not represent Hertz at all. I’ve had better experience in other Hertz locations but this one only cares about money and how to weasel more out of you. I received a really scratched vehicle and was charged more than what I originally booked it for and was forced to sign a contract because I had no other choice since I had an ill family member.

I just honestly wish they had clear pictures with the customers they work with and not try and weasel a bigger a higher price for cars that in the U.S.A. You would get for 40$ a day and there they are asking 100$ a day

The staff told me "the wheels are broken" on the car I reserved and forced me to pay an additional 100.00$ US upsale on a larger vehicle.

It would be nice to have available the car and price seen on Kayak. Hertz at this location should not be able to use online reservation services, it seems they are using them as a bottleneck to force travelers to pay premium prices

The roads are death traps, third world country roads at its finest. Animals on the road to Puerto escondido from Oaxaca city, it was a terrifying experience, wouldn't recommend it to no one. PLEASE do not drive these roads, no reception, ambulance, or any kind of proper medical attention in case of an emergency. You have been warned.

The total lack of car availability was extremely inconvenient. The very low price of the daily rental should have been a tip-off to me that it was not a real deal. I cannot really fault Hertz for this, I believe Kayak has no idea about doing business in Mexico.

I would never rent from them again, I requested an eight passenger suv and my family of seven was placed in a five passenger car for 3 days. After that we were placed in a small seven passenger car which engine lights started to come on after having it for 4 day. We took car back they would give us a different one they stated car was safe to drive.. I cancel my month contract and was still charged close to 800dlls..Never bookings with dollar again

This Company and the Oaxaca address advertised do not exist, this reservations go through Hertz and we we show up in Oaxaca they told us the Van we reserved was in an accident 1 day before even do they send us a confirmation the day we arrived in Oaxaca that the Van was ready, we asked another Company in the airport and they try to stiff us for $225 per day, luckily we find another Company at really good price! But Hertz or Dollar rental no work your time!

The price was the best that we found. It is located right inside the Oaxaca airport.

They give a full press about insurance. I have automotive insurance personally as well as special rental coverage that comes with my credit card. But they pressed to a point that we almost went to the booth next door. When we finally agreed that we would take the responsibility for the car they tried to insist that they would keep the entire worth of the car as a hold on our credit card. We ended up talking them down but they still put a hold on the card that was more than what we agreed upon. At the end of the day, we were only charged the initial amount that was advertised and agreed upon that brought us to the company. So, it worked out. But it felt like we had to be on guard throughout the entire experience.
