At my pick up at the Ft. Lauderdale airport, they did not have my premium SUV available and told me they were upgrading me to a mini van for $20 a day. No one upgrades to a mini van and has to pay for it. Why did I have to get charged $20 a day for a be chile I did not reserve. I should have been compensated for having to take a mini van. I will not rent from budget again. I did not like the experience.

Originally were assigned a Chrysler Pacifica, which we liked a lot, but there was an issue with the license plate so we were sent back to the desk and reassigned a Kia minivan, which felt like a downgrade. Also, the person ahead of us in line needed to be reassigned a vehicle because the inside of hers was covered in cigarette ashes. The desk staff was super friendly and helpful, but seems like the vehicle maintenance team has some kinks to work out.

They had QR codes in the airport and sent an email beforehand to have you pre-register with your name date of birth and drivers license number. I did this while I was waiting in line for almost 30 minutes at budget as there was no advantage of doing this before hand because you had to wait in the same line, however, it registered me for my Rental at the time that I put in this information which added an hour onto the rental, and they charged me for it. Then, when I returned the car, they did not go out and inspect, just asked me if I filled up the car. And then received a charge for fuel service, even though the receipt showed that I returned the car full. It felt like they were looking for every opportunity to add erroneous charges onto the price line price in hopes that people would not catch it.

The staff was not friendly at all at the budget offsite. They gave us a car with multiple warning lights on that we had to return for another car halfway to our destination. A total inconvenience!!!!
