Cheap Car Rentals in Orlando

I did not realize that there was not an Avis shuttle from Orlando Airport. I asked a number of people and got the same response “you will need to take a taxi”. I was waiting in line for the Avis representative and my wife started talking to a gentleman at Payless Car Rental. He told her that they handled Avis and Budget car rental and he would match the price from Kayak. 10 minutes later we were on our way. My advice to you is to tell customers that you do not have a shuttle to downtown Orlando so that they will not be surprised or disappointed.

First and foremost, when someone books a convertable, thats what i expect. That person handeling check in at the jetblue terminal in orlando on saturday morning should be sent back for retraining. After showing my reservation with the convertable, he goes back and forth with me, telling me that in the “system” its a different category of car. I then went to show him the reservation again and he says thats not an avis reservation number. He says i should call the number on the reservation… so i did. And. IT WAS AVIS IN ORLANDO!!!! At this point im beyond furious going back and forth, that i said, in general, I DONT HAVE TIME FOR THIS, GIVE ME WHATEVER YOU HAVE SO I CAN GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE! Instead of resolving the issue, this individual wants to act like my ex girlfriend and tell me to calm down in a passive tone!! And then he says youre not allowed to be nasty here!! OOH IM SORRY, I DIDNT KNOW I LANDED IN FN PLEASANTVILLE!! AND I SAID THAT IN GENERAL NOT TO YOU!! This went on for 5-7 mins with people and kids online. Instead of focusing on a resolution, this chump wanted to argue with me, since he had no idea how to resolve the issue!! i paid for a convertable and got a dirty sports car. Inside and out. Cant wait for my next experience!

Clean seats

The pickup was an absoloute nightmare 1hr and 45mins on Easter Sunday this had happned in February as well they clearly have an issue with staffing and after flying for 4pk is hours the last thing you want is to keep waiting.

Car was not available when we arrived. Had to sleep on airport floor and stand in line for hours. Ruined first day of vacation.

Very smooth and efficient service at the front desk.

Car was fantastic and we had no problems throughout the fortnight. However the wait for a car took an hour and a half. We were upgraded to an SUV as they had no small cars, this was free and we were very happy with this. However on our return we were charged for fuel even though I had filled the tank to 7/8 and the check in guy put 6/8. Also they tried to charge the wrong card.

I was FORCED to pay almost $200 extra for auto insurance I didn’t need. I told them that my auto insurance covers my rentals. They told me, “no. You need this one. I will just give you the minimum. Don’t worry.” They wouldn’t ALLOW me to decline, but on rental agreement it says “accepted” insurance. I DID NOT ACCEPT. I was FORCED to have it.

2 hour wait to get car, car was not very clean when picked up

The car was fine, but the wait in Orlando was a nightmare, I’ll never rent a car from Thrifty again!

Car was never serviced, return agent said well past due. Car was filthy and agent pulled bate and switch siting vehicle booked is not carried by thrifty , when we went outside sitting right there for rental

This was the worst car rental experience I have ever had. We landed at 815pm and headed straight to Thrifty. We waited in line for TWO HOURS in order to sign our contract - absolutely insane. We then proceeded to the car pickup area and had to wait ANOTHER TWO HOURS to receive the vehicle. There were not enough people working to drive cars around and the people who were working were rude. The last straw was that there was an electrical error with the key fob - the next morning (after an extremely late and frustrating night) the car wouldn't start bc the fob wasn't recognized. We had to walk to a convenience store to buy batteries because the PHONE NUMBER THEY PROVIDED DIDN'T WORK. We managed to change the battery and start our day (late again). The next stop, the key fob wouldn't work again! So every time we stopped, we had to take apart the fob and put it back together for the car to recognize the key fob. When we returned the car, the people working at Thrifty COULDN'T CARE LESS. The unfortunate thing is that we left knowing that the next people who rented that car were going to experience the same issues, even though we tried our best to make Thrifty aware. Zero help and zero compensation for our terrible experiences.

Vehicle quality and price were outstanding! I did not do the toll pass option which was $60. I didn't come close to spending that amount. Also, they charge $60 to add a driver. I took a pass on that as well. Very satisfied with, pick up shuttle and easy drop off with free shuttle back to the airport. Just minutes from the airport.

No one told me the car rental place closes at eleven. I was stranded at the MCO airport and had to take a $50 Lyft to get to my hotel. They charged me a no show fee, when I had no car. When I called to try to get my money back, they told me there was nothing they could do. WORST EXPERIENCE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!
