Cheap Car Rentals in United States from S$ 24

They canceled on me the day of my pickup. They had no cars.

I was NOT satisfied at all!!! I reserved the vehicle, got in line for pick-up and I was told that there wasn’t any more vehicles.!!!! That is NOT acceptable. I had to wait in line for a shuttle to take me to my hotel!! UNACCEPTABLE!!!!! I will make sure to NEVER use Alamo again. I will definitely tell my friends and family to go to another reputable car rental that will honor their reservations. Regards,

Real smooth check in and checkout experience. Clean vehicle

The only problem was the inside if the window was not clean, hard to see on a sunny day. This is the same complaint I have with every rental.

They picked us up and drove back to the hotel. Both drivers were cordial, professional and personable.

Horrible. Let me explain: first the address listed to pick up the van was wrong and nowhere close to where the correct address is. Second: our pick up time was at 12. They close at 12pm. Luckily we had decided to go early and those 30 min of arriving early saved us or it would’ve been closed and we wouldn’t have been able to get the van. Third: never received any email with any explanations or instructions so I assumed when I gave kayak my credit card info, the van had already been paid and that was not the case. I didn’t have my credit card that I had used on kayak with me and I had to show them that card. I had to drive 30 min home and back to get it. They at least did us the favor to stay open and wait for me to return since they close at 12 and again I never received any email from them or kayak explaining all these points. Horrible experience!!!!

The staff at the Portland SIXT rental counter have been the same for years. The same ladies. This consistency screams quality. If employees want to stay with a company long term it makes me as the customer want to stay loyal. I enjoy every aspect of my experience with SIXT Portland.

The agent was friendly when we picked up the car. However, the fees that I paid online were far less than the total I was quoted. For the Moore, the car I actually selected was not available, and I was not given an upgrade fee of charge, even though I had already paid for my reservation online with a credit card. The upsell tactics by the agent were fairly aggressive, and the full insurance was pretty outrageously priced. The car itself had extensive water spots on the exterior and was not very clean.

Omar was very helpful in getting me a pickup truck I needed.

The car i requested should have been the car i got. I didn't but instead an EV car and charging with that was horrible for my 6 hr drive. That's all they apparently had too?? Discounts for inconveniences should be given. Your customers are the driving force for your company. Always remember that!

Long wait to check in

This experience was great. Seamless, good value, easy drop off (in NYC!) and pickup (though Dulles location a bit confusing for a passenger drop off not arriving via flight). Clean car, very fair pre-paid gas price. Overall excellent experience!

I was declined

Super long line. Now that Avis is Budget (and vice versa) and their systems don’t speak (or something like that) beware your car could be double booked. After long wait for the car that’s what happened with us. Worked out in the end for us and other party but took time. Given the $ it’s not the wait and service level one should receive.

The problem is not with hertz. The problem is cheap flights is not knowledgeable about hertz. You can book with a chime credit card thru your site but they do not accept chime. Then when you go to pick up at hertz location you are turned away if you do not have another major credit card. Very very inconvenient.

The rental agreement when I picked up the vehicle stated clearly that pick up was at Portland Int'l Airport and drop off was at Eugene Airport. Total estimated cost $54.28. Receipt emailed to me after drop-off added $29.00 for "Intercity Fee." It was clearly an intercity situation from the start and adding $30 after the fact seems like bullshit to me. Hertz unresponsive so far. Will dispute with my credit card company.

Didn’t have sufficient cars to honor reservation. I didn’t get a car of any type or class. Seems like false advertising on the part of both Kayak and Hertz.

Payless hit me with a bait-and-switch regarding my rental vehicle. My reservation was for a COMPACT SUV - clearly and plainly. As stated here, from the reservation email: Your car rental details Confirmation number: 21080411US2 Pick-up location Payless 3355 Admiral Boland Way San Diego, CA 92101 Vehicle type: Compact SUV Hyundai Venue Upon arrival at the rental counter in San Diego after a long day of cross-continental travel (BTV-IAD-SAN) a Payless staffer informed me that my reservation had potentially been "cancelled" due to my arriving later in the day thanks to flight delays imposed by United Airlines, and that I needed to go upstairs and speak with a manager. Upon speaking with the manager, Jasmin, I was told that my reservation was NOT actually for a Compact SUV but for only an economy vehicle, despite me showing her what my reservation stated. After a significant delay, I was presented with the smallest car on the lot, a Mitsubishi Mirage that ranks as possibly the smallest and most basic vehicle any car rental company has ever sold me. I was told this was my only option, despite the documentation I showed. Not a good experience!

This was the worst rental experience I have ever had. The only reason I booked was because of the price which changed drastically when I arrived at the rental office. 1st I rented a compact SUV because my knees needed the room.( I was given a small Nissan sedan and told that it was similar to it).👎🏽2nd I had to wait for a half hour for them to call my insurance and prove that I had coverage. I then I was charged an extra $65 at the end because I went to MD which they said was an extra fee . The counter customer service was awful and I was serviced by the manager who had absolutely no sympathy whatsoever to my being upset. The maintenance light was on an I was told that it was still okay to drive and that was all they had available for me to rent .

My experience was very bad!! I booked online and they chargede for the whole amount. Then when I arrived at the airport to pick my car up, they told me they didn’t take my card! I told her it’s doesn’t say no where on the policy online that it states that they don’t take chime credit cards. The employee and the manager were both rude! Nobody wanted to refund my money. They told me I had to call.

The drop off representative said my final bill will be $505.00 but when I got the email receipt it was $561 and when I called them the rep just kept saying the bill was $561 and did not give me credit for returning it 2 days early like the drop off rep said it would be a total of $505. Very Disappointed. Will not be using them again. FYI Consumer Reports ranks them as the worst rental car agency.

I was traveling with my son in a wheelchair, I’m older.. the walk from the rental office to the car I was picking up, in the rain, was awful. It was way too far to be wheeling a wheelchair, two large suitcases, carry on bags, and a walker.. I was never offered help, nor did any of the guys sitting in their chairs waiting for drop off, offer to help. Nor did they as I was struggling to get everything in the car we picked up.. And yo make matters worse, the electric windows stopped working, yes, I checked the window lock, and I had to drop the car off, walk all the way back to the office, walk all the way, even further, for a replacement car.. only to have the man in the lot accuse me, not once, but twice, for not giving him the keys to the first rental,at the third accusation, said “got them”.. No apology, nothing. I will never rent from any of the three places they represent.. Hertz, Thrifty, and Dollar.. Disgusting..
