It was really good store manager change my drop off point so I didn’t have to go downtown and catch a cab to the airport with no extra charge he was really good pay for a tank of gas ahead of time but he knew it was only half full so he didn’t charge me for a whole tank trade me for a half a tank very accommodating

When this rental was booked I was supposed to be able to pick up the car at the Hertz rental at the airport. When I got there the agent at the rental dept told me that the rental had been booked at Hertz downtown C. Rapids and, "we're sorry but they're closed for the day." The only way I could get a rental was to do a whole NEW rental. The pre-paid rental money would be lost. I was stuck and had to get a new rental. The whole experience was terrible.

We had to take a 14 mile taxi ride from the airport to pick up the car at the Cedar Rapids location despite making the reservation using the CID airport code. A $45 cab ride one way. This was apparently a common deception according to the Hertz folks when reservations were made by Priceline. According to them the number of customers this happened to was in the triple digits. Beware. There was probably some fine print that over a hundred former Kayak/Priceline customers missed. This was a deliberate deception. Hertz did a solid recovery job for us but still.....

This neighborhood rental was just as good as renting from an airport location. I was delayed in arriving in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I called ahead to let them know that I may not get there until after they close and they told me to call when I got in town indicating they were prepared to accommodate me even if it meant staying a little longer that day. The value was very good.

They let me make a reservation for the exact time they closed, so I didn't think to check their hours. Showed up a few minutes late, place was closed and I didn't get the car. Should I have checked the hours? Yeah. Should they have let me reserve a car for the minute they close? No.

I called to inquire as to what I should do if I could not make it to the scheduled return time for my rental. The woman, who spoke poor English, took it upon herself to charge my card for an additional day without my permission. This caused my acct to be overdrawn. When I tried to explain this she repeatedly told me she did not charge my card however I called my bank and they confirmed the charge. When I called Alamo back they said there was nothing they could do but refund my money which would take 3-7days and they had nothing to say about the overdraft fee. All this for what was just supposed to be an inquiry.

Moved my fiancé from Iowa to Boston. We got a brand-new Dodge Caravan with fold-flat seats, SiriusXM radio, and the flex-fuel capability which was a major money-saver. Was as smooth as you'd expect of a car under 15k miles.

The van had a lot of someone else's trash inside when I picked it up. I spent a half-hour cleaning it out after picking it up. There were chip bags, pop bottles, grease streaks, and a persistient stickiness to the steering wheel that required dish soap to remove. I suppose this is the price paid for a low rate.

The gentleman who showed me the vehicle was very kind & funny.

The pick-up process was very long. I told to go to one location but when I got there found out that location was closed & to go to another location on the other side of town. When I got to that location I still had to wait nearly an hour before I was able to take the vehicle. The original pickup time was noon, but I wasn't able to drive it until 3:30 due to the vehicle "not being ready". Additionally, the drop off was very unorganized, I stood in line for more than 20 minutes until someone finally acknowledged me. It was then that I was able to hand them the keys & they will email me a receipt, but because they were short staffed I wasn't able to go over the vehicle with them in person Also, the location has very limited parking so there are vehicles scattered everywhere & stacked 4 deep in addition to parking on the side streets. This location seemed very unorganized & not very friendly

The agent at the Cedar Rapids airport (CID) was early for her shift. None of the competitive companies showed up on time. Cheers to Her!!!! The staff at the drop off site near Allen Road in Peoria were friendly, efficient-- great team.

My flight was delayed due to bad weather over the Rockies, and by the time I arrived at my destination their booth was closed. I tried calling them 3 times during the day to alert them and no one answered (kept on hold every single time). They did not attempt to call me, and also did not leave the keys for my pick up. I ended up stranded at the airport trying to find transportation to my hotel. Awful experience.

I ended up having to pay for LT parking and I live here. It wasn't clear that pickup/ dropoff was one and the same as the sign stated Rental Dropoffs. Somehow the price was $10 higher than the stated price. Because I had to park in LT parking I got lost trying to walk all the way over to the Rental car area. It would've been probably a 3 mile walk. I had to talk to the LT parking pay attendants about how to get to it and one of them happened to be leaving and gave me a ride. I will never rent from Avis at the airport again or any AVIS as they raised the price on me after I had a reservation.

Miscommunication, reserved a car in town and it was closed by the time we arrived at 4:00 PM. Had to UBER to and from the airport cost $60.00 total. Had to rent a car from the airport which was $350.00 more than what was reserved. Very disappointing that when making the reservation no one told us about them closing at 4:00 PM the same time our flight landed

The whole process was easy. Wish I’d gotten a vehicle like the one selected though. I selected a Ford Edge and they gave me a Mitsubishi instead. Ver disapp in that brand.

The pick up was not easy, I had to move my trip a day later because there weren't any cars available. When I arrived, the lady had the wrong reservation and I think this because the series of issues that i had.

I waited so long at pick up for the lady to find and clarify my reservation. The rental car was fine. Then when I returned the car the charge was over $100 more. The I wish I was charged the rate service, she not could not help me!!

The vehicle we received was clean and ready to go at the appointed time. Gas mileage was much better than our own vehicles.

A couple of features were not on the vehicle that we are used to, such as backup camera. Possibly if we would have requested a higher priced vehicle it would have been included?
