The guy at Oxnard double charged for insurance- I told him I thought I bought it when I made my reservation, he said he couldn’t see it, so I purchased. Come to find out Avis can’t see the insurance I purchase from Kayak- I want a credit back from one of you. Then he dud t tell me there was a $250 deposit. It put me over my limit on my CC and I received a charge. Lastly, no window washer fluid, I drove up the coast and back it was not good.

Went to Oxnard Airport to pick up my rental and was told that I was not able to because it was a Luxury Vehicle and you had to be 25+ to rent. This was minutes before I was to get on the road for a trip that I booked. I asked Carlos to cancel my rental and he said he would do so. I also asked if I would get charged for the rental, to which he mentioned I would not. However, I was still charged a $50 “no show” fee even though it was not my fault that I was not able to get the rental by company guidelines, despite showing up to pick it up at my scheduled time.

Nothing. I was not able to rent a car because even though your website said there were vehicles available for my selected dates/times, Avis was actually sold out and did not have any rentals available.

excellent experience renting a car from dollar. Staff at desk was very helpful and solicitous. Extremely nice. Car was clean and ran great! Would definitely use them again. Manager was very helpful also and very nice. Biggest drawback for me was not being open on weekends, but overall experience was great!

When we arrived, there wasn't a car for us to rent. Horrible start to our California vacation. We had to be driven to another car rental company in order to secure a car.

I chose the “book with Kayak” option, which actually ended up going through carrentals.com. Email CONFIRMED reservation. Nope Agent at Dollar said that even though Kayak “confirms” reservations they are not actually confirmed. No car available. He did have a car I could upgrade to for an additional $79 per day. $40 Uber ride wasted. At least I learned not to trust Kayak. What a ripoff. Never booking with Kayak again.

The problem is that Kayak gave me one price for an intermediate car and when we showed up at the counter the classic "bait and switch" was thrown at us. No intermediate cars were available and we were forced to rent a midsize at a higher price point. I am very disappointed at this. Either Kayak is not to be trusted or Dollar. Which one is it?

Car was old. Lots of dents and scratches. Car was not clean. Confirmed reservation was at 8am. Counter opened at 9:45am. Reserved for midsize but got a regular (Sentra) and was told it was an upgrade from a Versa.

Friendly staff, decent car

We did not realize that insurance was not covered in the original price listed, so we had to make a last minute decision to include insurance and this doubled the cost. It was stressful to have to make that decision on short notice and the price was much higher than we would have even considered going in.

I told in my reservation to return the car until 3 pm and aparently they had someone waiting for my car since noon.

Very easy to drive into the Oxnard airport to drop off car rental that we drove from Los Angeles.

There was only one employee on staff so the service was a little slow but acceptable. The employee was very friendly and jovial.

I can't really say that there was anything I liked about renting from Oxnard.

I paid for an upgraded car but what I was offered was something not as nice as what I paid for. I also mentioned my last rental car with them had ants inside it. I had to drop it off after hours so no one could verify that I wasn't making this up. The guy told me I could pay more if I wanted a better car. Ok, fine. I paid a little more and got a choice of a few cars. He didn't tell me the car I picked wasn't prepped for rental yet. I was trying to catch a plane and yet I had to wait for the car. The guy kept telling me it'll be at the front door soon. He would't get me a different car. He should have given me the upgrade for free but I suppose it didn't cross his mind. That's too bad as I won't be using Budget in the future. I'm certain the company doesn't care if I never use them again, but I wanted other people to know my experience.

The pick up and drop off was great, the staff was very good.

The car with it was both very dirty, it had an odor and visible dirt. The vehicle also seem to have engine issues, or require a tuneup.
